For more than three years, Pauline has worked as part of a team to develop a broad based education and training program around awareness and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the juvenile justice arena. She has now expanded her services to provide training, consulting and speaking to a broad array of audiences, including but not limited to educators, social service agencies and healthcare providers.

Experience

  • PG Training & Consulting has been significantly involved in the PTSD Detention Project in the state of Pennsylvania. This has included train-the-trainers to facilitate PTSD training in the 23 PA Detention Centers; developing a Basic PTSD Training Facilitator Manual and a Psycho-Education Manual and Tool Kit.       
  • Pauline George, President of PG Training & Consulting, sits on an advisory committee which serves as the steering/ leadership board for the Pennsylvania PTSD Project.       
  • PG Training & Consulting has worked with educators in Westmoreland County, PA to develop and implement basic PTSD training for education professionals, and has led the development of a Psycho Education Manual and Tool Kit for use in Alternative Education Classes.       
  • PG Training & Consulting delivers train-the-trainer programs for counselors and workers in agencies across the State of PA.       
  • PG Training & Consulting works with agencies who serve at risk youth to train staff in Basic and Advanced PTSD, as well as treatment strategies. We also consult with agencies to equip PTSD Specialists to lead the agency in education/training and implementation of a process to address this disorder.       
  • PG Training & Consulting is currently a consultant with the PA Justice System to establish a county wide demonstration site to implement a system approach to treating awareness and treatment for PTSD.
